My personal recovery experience of 32 years as well as my training as a psychotherapist enables me to offer effective, individualized, psychological care to individuals and couples struggling with substance abuse, alcoholism, depression and anxiety, .I have extensive experience working with both teens and adults. I work from a spiritual perspective with a heavy emphasis on mindfulness.
Addiction is a disease of the brain and the soul. My treatment approach is spiritually-based and focuses on the psychological as well as the spiritual roots of the patient's dilemma. As addicts, we often see things the way we want to see them, and not as they are. Employing the concepts of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which are based in mindfulness, I have helped hundreds of people suffering from alcoholism and addiction to healthful and permanent recoveries.
The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the lives of many of us - I also help teens, individuals and couples who are suffering from the unavoidable depression and anxiety this virus has engendered.
